Not likely: If the period was a true menstrual period then no. During a monthly cycle the egg is ovulated 14 days before the period bleeding begins. So you would not be in your fertile 'window' 3 days before an actual menses begins. If you have irregular periods (skip for more than 6 weeks, then it is very hard to know if/when your are releasing eggs, and it would be possible (though unlikely) to be conceiv.
