A Few Things: The most common cause is, of course, obesity and if you're overweight in general, genetics may do much of the rest in determining the distribution of that weight. If that's not the issue, it's often a side effect of a medicine called spironolactone, or a hormonal problem such as abnormal prolactin levels, steroid use, or abnormal testosterone/estrogen metabolism. See your md for advice.
