Analyse the discharg: Make sure your doctor is doing a "wet mount" or microscopic study of your discharge to confirm it is a fungal infection. If it is, and is proving very difficult to treat, you should be worked up for an immune problem. Some times all it requires is to use gynelotrimin (clotrimazole) or similar antifungal cream as a lubricant for sex. Lactobacillus milk douche can be helpful too, in concert with an antifungal.

Schedule visit: It's great that vagonal yeast medication is available over the counter. When infections are not getting better its time to schedule a visit for testing.
