Are the crest 3d white professional effects temporary?

Yes: The main ingredient in any whitening toothpaste that actually does the job is "titanium dioxide". Also found in your can of paint...Don't believe me? Just look at the ingredients. So, what you are doing with the toothpaste is "painting" your teeth with a thin layer. So yes, it will wear off. If you want it done right, see your dentist.

Yes: All whitening product results are temporary, both drug store bought and professionally applied. Your teeth will once again stain over time, and that time is dependent on the foods you eat and any habits like smoking. Good news is that you can whiten them again as they stain.

Which one?: Tooth whitening toothpastes basically remove surface (external) stains and although some claim to actually 'whiten' teeth, in my opinion the effect is minimal at best. Crest 3d whitestrips can whiten teeth internally and as with all\most types of whitening 'gels', especially those professionally administered, the effects are long lasting (almost permanent).

Crest White Strips: Hello L, Yes the effect is temporary. Many patients will update their whitening once or twice per year. A good time to do so is after a hygiene visit so your teeth are really nice and clean. Many foods and beverages can stain teeth over time and whitening can remove/brighten those areas.

The answer is no: Remember, filling and crowns won't change colors with any bleaching system.

All: All whitening systems including trays, lights, whitening toothpastes/mouthwashes/strips provide temporary color change, with Dentist provided systems being the most effective. With time diet, the environment, crazing, smoking, and natural aging will cause the need to rewhiten.
