LPR : Laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr) is swelling that occurs in your throat as a result of acid reflux. This is often "silent" and no other signs of reflux might be noted. An ears, nose and throat (ENT) physician can make this diagnosis by rhinolaryngoscopy, a quick office procedure. Stop caffeine, alcohol and late meals (all cause reflux) to see if symptoms improve.
