Yes: It's certainly possible. But more often than not what happens in one eye happens in the other, even if it seems like the symptoms are only happening in one eye or are predominsntly in one eye only.

Yes: Look for unilateral conditions vs. Bilateral conditions. Primary causes, genetic issues, etc. Are typically bilateral. Secondary causes, environmental issues, etc. Can be unilateral or bilateral.
