A member asked:

Can you get rid of a stunt growth if caught early again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on etiology: The etiology of the growth delay determines if catch up growth will occur. Infants with growth delay (ex. Prematurity) are usually of normal height and weight by 1 year of age. The earlier the problem is identified and treatment initiated, the better the prognosis for eventual normal growth.
