Future unknown: Floppy baby syndrome is a general term applied to a baby who has muscle weakness and muscle tone. They usually have a poor suck and have motor delay. It is difficult to say how this would affect a person later on in life because it is symptom complex found in many different diseases.Suffice it to say, such a child needs intensive physical and occupational therapy.
