A member asked:

I have been on propecia (finasteride) for about 4 years . i am wondering how badly this has damaged me and if i should stop taking it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably no damage: Are you having any side effects now? Generally the side effects are uncommon. And if you don't have any side effects now, there is probably no damage. The main concenrs with Propecia (finasteride) are erectile dysfunction, gynecomastia, and breast cancer. In most cases, ed and gynecomastia go away once you stop taking propecia (finasteride). Breast cancer is very rare and probably happens in those with a family history.
