Check it out: Appearance of new hair & sometimes body odor is called "adrenarche". Though it can signal that puberty is starting "too" early, it usually doesn't. Some kids, boys and girls, start this several years before puberty begins for real. Depends on ethnic back ground, family history , medication exposure & general health. Because it sometimes can be a marker of something more serious, talk to his md.
