See Dentist: It could be a gum infection that is also causing swollen lymph nodes. A fever would indicate something quite serious. Until you get it looked at, be gentle when brushing in flossing but do not stop brushing.

Possible infection: I would suggest you see a dentist for a diagnosis and appropriate treatment. A dentist is the only one who can effectively treat you. Best wishes.
