Yes: A physical and pelvic exam gives the md several csi "clues" that can make the diagnosis of pregnancy. It would be much better to open the dialogue with the doctor with what is suspected because he/she will then play "20 questions" with you and have a mutually rewarding doctor/patient relationship with "no secrets.".
