A member asked:

Why do i always get really tired when i am on my period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The main issue: In pms is fatigue. During the menses there are low ovarian hormones. The drop affects some neurons of the brain decrease their ability to connect with other neurons making it more difficult to think well and lowering the threshold for stress ( more irritable). Low doses of some mood meds can help even if just used around the time of the cycle. If really problematic modafanil is a good med.
