Papillomas are warts: All warts r caused by hpv virus, some strains of which r associated with cancer. Flat warts are caused by types 3, 10, & 8—all non-cancerous. Fp/dermatologist can remove them by freezing, chemicals, electro-dessication, possibly lasers. [some use the term papilloma to refer to skin tags].
