No: Emphysema is not contagious. People get emphysema for genetic reasons combined with enviormental exposures-usually tobacco smoke. The only way your housemate could get emphysema from you is through exposure to second hand smoke.

Not at all: Emphysema is not contagious. You can't "catch" it from anyone. But, you can get lung damage that causes emphysema by smoking or inhaling second hand smoke.
