You first need to: Complete a bachelor's degree and then go to obtain at least a master's degree. Some states will provide a license for people with a master's degree and others still require a doctorate such as a phd, psyd or edd. You must check your state's requirments. You need to verify what the requirements are to be a forensic lab tech but i believe that a bachelor's degree would be sufficient.

School: A psychologist's usual route: 4 years undergraduate (b.A./b.S.), 2 years masters degree (m.A./m.S.), 2 more years for doctorate (psy.D./pH.D./ed.D.), one year internship, one year post-doc/residency/specialty. Then national licensing exam and any state licensing exams. If you choose to be board certified in forensics (abpp) that will come after (not necessary).
