Is an emg test painful?

Uncomfortable: Like a lot of medical tests emgs are not fun. I tell patients there will be some discomfort but it should be tolerable and not last too long.

It can be: Test pain response varies but it is usually a bit uncomfortable. It rarely lingers beyond the testing period. Emg technique can diminish the discomfort in some areas.
