Possible Root Canal: Nerve in the tooth may have gone bad, or the tooth may have fractured. Filling may have cracked, too. Can't be certain without an exam and radiograph, so you need to make an appointment with your dentist.

Root canal: You probably have an inflamed pulp. Have an endodontist rur tests to see if you need a root canal. Is the tooth sensitive to hot and/ or cold, or when biting?

See dentist: Could be a number of problems. Filling could be high and need adjusting. Could be another tooth. Tooth could require a root canal. See the dentist who did the filling for assessment.
