Yes: It has been possible for several years thanks to the discovery of Cyclosporine and pioneering efforts of dr.Bruce reitz of stanford u. And dr. Joel cooper from canada then at washington u in st. Louis, barnes jewish back in the 80's. Double lung transplant can be done one at a time thru anterior thoracotomies, both same day, or en block. Depending on lung allocation score. Cpb may be needed 10-20%.
