A member asked:

Anemia and hunger. can not enough iron be causing extreme hunger?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: Iron deficiency does not usually make people hungry, but it can influence dietary choices. People with iron deficiency often chew on ice and other crunchy foods and do so to the point that it seems odd or inappropriate. The medical term for this is pica.
