Hydration: The most important thing in patients with the "flu", moreover gastric bypass patients is hydration. Also if your doctor thinks appropriate, anti-nausea medications may also help.

Rx like anyone else: Does she have GI or ent/respiratory manifestations? If high fever, shortness or breath or chest pain, dehydrated--then take her to the er. If typical flu distress, without co-morbidities that place her at risk, then treat her the same way you would treat yourself for the flu--fluids, rest, moderate analgesic use, symptom-based otc medication. (the gastric bypass does not contraindicate to these.).
