No absolute solution: Use of higher dose ocps around expected cycle may delay or even a shot of estrogen Progesterone may give short delay. 2-3 months of a low dose ocp( oral contra pill) would be safest, least side effects and most reliable.

Period delay: The period can be delayed if you are already on oral contraception by altering the length of time that it is taken. If you are not on oral contraception, the period can be delayed with progesterone Rx. for a few days, but some form of contraception will be needed as the egg may already be "out and about" for that cycle. Over 40 is prime time for "oops" pregnancies, so be mindful.
