A member asked:

Is a urethra located in women only? or do men have it as well ?

Urethra in both: The urethra is a tube that connects the urinary bladder to the genitals for the removal of fluids from the body. In males, the urethra travels through the penis, and carries semen as well as urine. In females, the urethra is shorter and emerges above the vaginal opening.

Men & women: Urethra is the urinary passage, i.e. Urine flows thru it when people urinate. It is a short 1 1/2 inch tube in women located just in front of vagina when standing or sitting. It is much longer in men & passes thru the penis. It is also the passage for semen during ejaculation.
