Men & women: Urethra is the urinary passage, i.e. Urine flows thru it when people urinate. It is a short 1 1/2 inch tube in women located just in front of vagina when standing or sitting. It is much longer in men & passes thru the penis. It is also the passage for semen during ejaculation.
