Need exam: I you have had any type of head trauma you need an exam. Headaches made better by closing the eyes coudl be related to migraines. Another possibility is that you are having inflammation in the front of your eyes from injury (called iritis) and patients can have pain in the eyes with light (photophobia) or headache that are also made worse with light.
