Crystal ball: None of us can predict the future--it sounds as though you are doing all you can do to reduce the risks of bad outcomes that can be seen as a result of poorly controlled diabetes. Only problem is that some people get them despite this--it is likely a grouping of genetic predispositions, but not clear. So, while you can "never say never" in medicine, you are taking this disease seriously. Great!

Chances reduced: Your good control of the diabetes and compliance with diet, exercise, and medications all reduce your chances of complications, but do not completely eliminate the chances. Hopefully you are treating other factors such as smoking, blood pressure, and lipids, as these in combination with diabetes can make things worse.
