Decrease slowly.: If you are on the Florinef (fludrocortisone) for adrenal issues, it is best to decrease slowly by dropping to twice a day (bid) for a week or two...Then daily (qd) for a week or two. Then half a tab for a week, etc. As long as you do not have any negative effects while weaning, you should be fine. However, it is best to consult with the physician who started you on the Florinef (fludrocortisone) before doing so.
