Red eye: Redness in the nasal region of the eye can be caused by many issues. If it is not improving with artificial tears, you should go see an eye doctor.

Red eyes: Usual causes of red eyes are dryness and allergies. If this were painful it would be something more serious. Use preservative free artifial tears initially. If it worsens call an ophthalmologist.
