May be Normal: Mood swings are directly a result on changing hormone levels of estrogen and progesterone. During the early parts of your pregnancy, these hormones are at their highest and women may experience an increase in mood swings. These levels of hormones will stabilize as you enter the second and third trimesters and the mood swings stabilize. If your mood does not improve, let your doctor know.
