Still too soon : It can take about two weeks after conception for a pregnancy test to be positive. This is because the fertilized egg has to implant in the uterus and the placenta has to begin making the pregnancy hormone in high enough levels to be detectable.

No: If your period is about five days, you had sex on cycle day 7. In a 28 day cycle ovulation usually occurs on day 14. Cycle day 24 is a good day to test if you need to know immediately.
