A member asked:

I am taking biological chemistry this year and i have an inquiry. is a benzene molecule smaller than a human red blood cell?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: A benzene molecule is way smaller than a red blood cell. A benzene molecule is roughly 0.0006 microns and a red blood cell is ~8 microns in diameter. Thus a red blood cell is ~13000x larger.
