What causes blue vomit on kids?

Something Blue: Blue is not a physiologic color. Green, red, yellow and clear are typical. Blue is a primary color, as such there is no combination of bodily fluids that would appear truly blue. Therefore, your child is likely ingesting blue coloring from some source. Remember, blue food coloring is commonly in green, purple and black food coloring.
