Not necessarily: Bleeding will occur if the hyman is torn or ruptured for the first time. However, the hymen does not always tear, or the hymen may have ruptured earlier from bicycle or horseback riding.

Unlikely: The normal hymen is a circle of elastic tissue around the vagina opening, like a stretchy bracelet. Its a common myth that the hymen tears and bleeds with first sex when, in fact, it usually just stretches during penetration. Small skin splits might happen with sex but are definitely not inevitable. So, no, bleeding is not expected with sex for the first time
