A member asked:

So the oral live typhoid vaccine has no chance of infecting me with the typhoid fever (or other people i come into contact with including infants)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Oral typhoid vaccine has been shown to be very safe and has not shown to cause typhoid fever. The risks are negligible. But the oral typhoid vaccine is also not fully studied in pregnant or nursing mothers and for children less than 6 months of age.
