Yes: There a lot of blood vessels in the vagina. First time intercourse and rough sex can cause heavy bleeding. If the bleeding doesn't slow down, see a doctor.

Yes: There is a plentiful blood supply to the genital area, and tears here can cause significant bleeding. All abnormal bleeding, if significant, should be checked by your gyn.
