Extrapolation: Naegle's rule calculates the due date by taking the 1st day of the last menstrual cycle: then adding 1 year, subtracting 3 months, then adding 7 days to estimate the 'due date' - dr said may have worked this backwards to calculate when conception occurred. Or, she may have used one of the many apps that does it for us to make it simpler :-) or a pregnancy wheel that helps with the calculations2.
