Hepatitis: Blood tests can tell if you have active hepatitis from hepatitis virus a , b, c, or d. They can also tell if you have ever been exposed to the virus in the past. You should see your doctor for evaluation and blood tests to ease your mind.

Incubation/hepatitis: The incubation period for acute hepatitis c averages 6 to 10 weeks.Hepatitis b is caused by infection with the hepatitis b virus (hbv). The incubation period from the time of exposure to onset of symptoms is 6 weeks to 6 months. Hbv is found in highest concentrations in blood and in lower concentrations in other body fluids.
