Possibly: The goal of endometrial ablation is to reduce the amount of bleeding you have with your monthly menses not to eliminate the periods. However, up to 40% of women will not have a period after an ablation and 40% will have lighter periods. If an area of destruction heals itself, it is not unusual to see menstrual blood again occurring from that area.

Possibly: Endometrial ablation is done to reduce menstrual flow, not necessarily eliminate menses. In the best of cases, 40% of women have no menses. The important question is were your menses absent and now back? Also, are they getting heavier? If the answer is yes to either of these questions, then see your gynecologist, maybe there is an alternative treatment such as laparoscopic hysterectomy to help.
