See your peds Doc: Femoral head retroversion or scfe is diagnosed when a child presents with decrease range of motion, and often are not able to complete hip flexion or fully rotate the hip inward. Common is to the knee (referred pain from the hip). Dx requires xrays of the pelvis. Consultation with an orthopaedic surgeon is needed to repair.

Rotation: With retro version you have more external rotation of the hip than internal rotation and thus you will turn you hip out more and walk with the leg rotated outward moreso.
