Part of blood type: The rh protein is found on red blood cells in some people (rh positive) and not in others (rh negative). It really has no health consequences either way, except when an rh(-) women has multiple children with a rh(+) man. She can develop antibodies to rh which can cause problems for 2nd child onward. This problem, however, can be safely dealt with by your ob.
