A member asked:

How does our body produce tears?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eye glands: Tears are nutrient, and fluid rich fluids secreted to protect the eye surface. They are made continuously by multiple glands interwoven in the conjunctival eye lining. These are distinct from the lacrimal glands which secrete a salt/water solution in response to irritation, and emotional situation. All glands extract the proper components from the blood stream to make the end product.
