Possible hives: Hives are raised, red, itchy and can feel very firm due to the skin swelling. It is common for hives to come and go on different part of the body. The causes are varied depending on if they last more or less than 6 weeks. Causes include food, drug or insect sting allergies, infections, and sometimes the cause isn't found. Take a photo to show your doctor if it fades before your visit.
