Bariatric surgery: Bariatric ( weight loss ) surgery would likely improve your diabetes and your lipid profile. Surgery could be performed laparoscopically if you have not had previous abdominal surgery. There is now good evidence that coronary bypass surgery is preferable to stenting in diabetic patients. I assume your are taking a statin cholesterol drug and Aspirin daily.
