Good diet,low carb: Life can be crazy with a newborn. It is hard so keep it simple! if you are breastfeeding, keep at least 2000 calories per day. No simple carbs: white bread, sugar treats, white rice, tortillas. Eat whole grain, 5 servings per day, healthy fats, 3 servings per day: eggs, olive oil, nuts, healthy protein. Exercise: squats, lunges, interval training- spurts of activity. Good for brain/mood too.
