Adhesive Allergy: Many patients may suffers from a local skin reaction from adhesives used in bandages or patches. These reactions can be easily treated by first removing the adhesive, if possible. Next, the reaction can be treated with an oral antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and/or atopical steroid cream.

See your surgeon.: Allergic reactions to cyanoacrylate are very rare. I suggest you see your surgeon to be certain that what you perceive is an allergic reaction is not actually a reaction to the prep solution used or even a local wound infection. Cyanoacrylate can be easily removed with any petroleum-based ointment, but it is there for a reason: please check with your surgeon before self-treating.
