im on my period now... can i start taking my birth control and skip my period for the rest of it? ive been on bc for a long time now

It may: I would allow the lining to completely shed or the bleedimg may be irregular on the pill. Then again if the bleeding has been prolonged it may be better to start. You can start your ocp and it wont be unhealthy, i'm not sure it will have the intended effect; it may though.
