Getting pregnant: Ky jelly can inhibit sperm motility and movement, as can other popular sexual lubricants like astroglide and vaseline. This effect is not significant enough to imply that these lubricants would be effective birth control agents, but every factor is important if you have fertility concerns. Vegatable oil or peanut oil does not seem to impair sperm movement, and can be used as a lubricant.
