Many factors: We know that about 30% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Of those, about half are probably due to a chromosome defect that would not allow normal development. The remainder are idiopathic, meaning that the reason cannot be clearly discovered.

Lots of things: There are too many causes to list here. Sometimes, the problem is with the fetus-this cannot be controlled. Sometime there are problems with hormones, blood flow to the baby, problems with the placenta, problems with the womb, etc. if you have had multiple miscarriages on OB specialist such as a reproductive endocrinologist might be helpful.

Nature: As a young lady it is probably a natural occurrence. Vaginal, uterine and fallopian tube infections and issues are the issues. See google to do some home work. See your doctor for a complete pelvic exam and infection work up.

Genetic usually.: Most early pregnancy failures are due to abnormal dna of the conceptus. Other causes include sle (lupus), antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, uterine anomalies, thyroid disorders and fetal anatomical defects.
