Stabalized: The growth plate is that transverse line you see on the x-rays that separates the calcified main bone from the farthest extent of the bone just beyond the line. Breaks here are really just trauma to this soft line, and generally don't need to be "reduced" because they are already in place. These are usually just stabilized with a cast so no more stress is placed on the growth plate.
