Prominent forehead.: Frontal bossing is a physical sign, describing a pronounced forehead with a heavy brow ridge. It is caused by enlargement of the frontal bone which can occur in a rare medical syndromes called acromegaly, where there is uncontrolled release of growth hormone after puberty. In infants, it may be due to hydrocephalus of the brain.
