A member asked:

What does it mean to have an epicanthal fold on my right eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Extra lid fold: An epicanthal fold is the arced skin overhang on the nasal side of the upper lid which is so common in asian populations. Some non-asians have this and it is generally not a functional problem. If for some reason it occurs only on the one side, it can be surgically altered to match the other eye.
